SETTLEMENT BY JAMES MCDIARMID 1930
I, JAMES McDIARMID, residing at Oakleigh, Ross, Comrie, Retired Farmer, for the Settlement of my affairs in the event of my death do hereby bequeath, assign and dispose to and in favour of my Sister, MRS GRACE McDIARMID or MURRAY, presently residing at Fountainhall Road, Edinburgh or her heirs my whole means and estate heritable and moveable real and personal of what kind or nature soever or wheresoever situated at present belonging or addebted to me or which may belong or be addebted to me at the time of my death or over which I may have the power of disposal by Will or otherwise with the Writs titles vouchers and instructions rents interest profits and produce thereof And I nominate the said Mrs Grace McDiarmid or Murray to be my sole executrix, And I reserve my own liferent with power to alter or revoke at pleasure; And I revoke all Settlements of my Estate previously executed by me; And I consent to registration; IN WITNESS WHEREOF these presents typewritten for John Peter Mitchell, Solicitor in Comrie, are, (under the declaration that the words at pleasure occurring the twelfth line counting from the top hereof is written upon an erasure before subscription)subscribed by me at Comrie on the Seventh day of February, Nineteen hundred and twenty seven before these witnesses the said John Peter Mitchell and Elizabeth McLean (who signs B.McLean) my housekeeper.
